In the crowded field of awards given to Vermont community members, the Vermont Chamber of Commerce Citizen of the Year award is one of the most prestigious. In 2017 the Citizen of the Year award will be presented to the 54th recipient of this annual honor.
The Citizen of the Year award represents the person who contributes to Vermont communities on a statewide basis through service, self-sacrifice, and volunteerism. Past recipients of the award include Bill Stritzler, Janette Bombardier, Stephen C. Terry, U.S. Senator Patrick Leahy, Antonio Pomerleau, and Governor James Douglas.

Tickets:
Tickets to the Citizen of the Year banquet are $85 per person and include hors d'oeuvres, a plated dinner, and an opportunity to toast Richard W. Schneider, RADM (USCGR) RET. for his many contributions to, and accomplishments in, the state of Vermont. Tables of 10 are also available for $850.
A special $50 ticket rate is available for Norwich University Faculty/Employees - select this rate when purchasing tickets.
Hotel Rooms:
Trader Duke's Hotel (formerly known as The DoubleTree Hotel) in South Burlington can offer a preferred room rate of $102.00 plus taxes for this event. Please contact Merrilee Phelps Monday - Friday 10am-4pm at 802-660-7521 by November 7.
Attire:
Business Attire or Class A Uniform.
Vegetarian Meals:
Vegetarian meals are available upon request - When registering for the event, "step two" will ask if you have dietary concerns. Please fill this in with the name of the person attending that would like a vegetarian meal.
Cancellation Policy:
Cancellations made two weeks or more prior to the event are subject to a $50 per person service charge. No refunds will be made for cancellations received within two weeks of the event.
