Who Should Attend: Managers, Cooks, Deli Staff, Chefs, Wait staff, Bartenders, Supervisors, Owners, Caterers, anyone who prepares, handles, or serves food for the public.
Why You Should Attend: According to the National Restaurant Association, an outbreak of food-borne illness can cost a food service operation over $75,000 in legal fees, medical claims, lost wages and sanitizing costs. A staff certified by the ServSafe® Food Protection Manager program can help protect an employer against these losses. A ServSafe® certification is valid for five years and is highly recommended by the Vermont Health Department.
Cost: $185 per person – non-member; $135 per person – Vermont Chamber of Commerce member
Cost Includes: Textbook, tuition, and exam; certificate; beverages such as coffee, tea, and water. (Lunch not included.)
