The Vermont Independent Schools Association is governed by an Executive Committee drawn from Heads of its member schools.

 WHAT ARE INDEPENDENT SCHOOLS
Independent schools are independent because they:
have a distinct educational mission,
are independently governed by a board of trustees,
perform educational missions that public schools cannot or will not undertake,
are supported by tuition payments, charitable contributions and endowment revenue.
