Founded in 1886, Basin Harbor has been devoted to providing authentic, experience-based hospitality for over a century.
Now in its fifth generation of family ownership, Basin Harbor focuses on making time-honored traditions a thing of the future. With 700 acres of magnificent lakefront property, Basin Harbor offers
countless activities as well as
programmed entertainment for the entire family. From wakeboarding, tubing, biking and hiking, to art classes, history talks and narrated cruises on Lake Champlain, Basin Harbor affords guests of all ages the opportunity to experience Vermont’s landscape through a variety of active and tranquil pursuits. The resort serves as a safe-haven for kids to enjoy themselves without parents having to worry.
Kids Camp is offered to four different age groups during the summer months and allows kids to enjoy Basin Harbor through fun, wholesome activities that challenge their creative side. Basin Harbor’s
Accommodations vary in size from studio one-bedroom cottages or large three-bedroom cottages, to more traditional, lodge-style rooms. Each of the 74 cottages is unique in design, many of which boast views of Lake Champlain, The Adirondack Mountains or the resort’s
18-hole golf course. Guests can even boat in and dock overnight at one of the 66 slips at the
Boat Club. Many of the accommodations are
pet friendly as well. Guests will find
several different dining options on property. A Daily breakfast buffet and a la cart dinner service can be enjoyed in Ardelia’s, Basin Harbor’s lakeside dining room. A more casual, tavern-style experience can be found at the Red Mill Restaurant, a renovated 1940’s sawmill, and al fresco dinners on the lake can be enjoyed three nights a week on the North Dock.
