Grunberg Haus has been a Vermont bed and breakfast since 1972. We’re just 3 miles from the world class attractions of Waterbury, and situated directly between Sugarbush and Stowe.

Grunberg Haus is an eclectic Austrian style chalet with a very warm, relaxing and welcoming feel. Inn owners Leah & Duane are committed to making your stay amazing, and you will love the breakfast!

In addition to the Grunberg Haus, there are three separate Vermont forest cabins, each designed for a relaxing and romantic getaway for a couple. The inn is open year-round and the cabins are open from late May to late October. The cabins are located in the forest behind the inn and are accessible by a hiking trail. The trail to the cabins is a one to two minute walk along a natural, uphill path that is the equivalent of climbing six flights of stairs. The Grunberg Haus cabins are pet friendly! We welcome well behaved dogs, cats, and even birds in the cabins with prior notification, but we do not allow them in the inn for the sake of any guests who have allergies.

The main source of heat in the cabins is a woodstove. We supply wood, kindling, fire starter and operating instructions. The woodstoves get very hot therefore children are not allowed in the cabins.
