Maple Harvest Specialties was founded in 2005 by Jerri Howard in central Vermont. While going to school, Jerri spent time creating her specialty products and selling at some of the farmers markets around the central area and delivering her very popular “Maple Zucchini Relish” to Vermont specialty shops.
Jerri and Steve Howard married in 2006, and within a few years, Steve joined with his wife in creating their wonderful “Vermont Maple Kettle Corn,” marketing at events and to stores within Vermont. With feedback from Vermonters and store owners, Steve and Jerri are continually accessing new naturally flavored maple kettle corns, as well as their other delicious pure maple products, to meet demand and individualism.
In addition to growing much of the produce that goes into some of their products, Jerri and Steve decided that, partner-shipping with others in the maple industry would be a win-win opportunity for all involved, and because of Jerri’s expert knowledge in the industry since the early 90s, (formally Merritt Family Sugarhouse, with 1st and 2nd place wins at the Vermont Association Maple Conference and 1st place win at the Northeastern U.S Maple conference, with numerous other blue ribbons) it allows Maple Harvest Specialties to use the best, most natural ingredients, striving hard to recognize those customers with allergies and striving to meet GMO environmental concerns. Jerri’s “Vermont Maple Cream” and “Vermont Maple Candies,” all made by hand, the old-fashioned way, will be the next to hit the store shelves.
