The Vermont Country Deli opened its doors in 1986 in an old general store on Route 9 in Brattleboro Vermont.  Much care was taken to preserve the old country store post and beam appearance of the hundred plus year old building through its 28 years of business. 

We are dedicated to supporting local businesses, and offer many specialty retail products from the Brattleboro area. We purchase Vermont fruit for our pies when in season and try to incorporate other, seasonal local produce whenever possible.  The Vermont Country Deli frequently donates food to local fundraisers and has been a big supporter of many local charities.

The Vermont Country Deli has approximately 40 employees, both full and part time.   We offer a great place to learn about food and the buzz of the retail specialty food scene, as is evident by the amount of young high school and college students working here. Many of our students return year after year as they come home from college for the summer, and we welcome their continued service
