Offering year-round vacation rental homes, Landmark Trust USA, (LTUSA), is a tax-exempt non-profit corporation established in 1991 with a mission to preserve historically important buildings. The personality of each preserved building has a unique story, which does make every vacation truly special. We have restored five buildings, all are fully furnished, have complete kitchens, and all linens. They simply lack you.

Our first building was Naulakha, Rudyard Kipling's Vermont home. Naulakha was built in the early 1890's and reflects the craftsmanship of the period. It sits on 45 acres, accommodates 8, has 3 full bathrooms, a tennis court, and his ample library. Imagine sleeping in his house, having all that was his completely at your disposal? We restored an old Sugar House that for its romantic charm seems to encourage wedding proposals. The Sugar House sleeps two and dogs are welcome. The Dutton Farm House sits on a hillside above Scott Farm with full panorama of the heirloom apple orchard, sleeps 8, has 2.5 baths, and dates from the 1840s. The last property in Dummerston is Kipling's Carriage House. The interior woodwork and late 1800's kitchen décor will take your breath away and let you dream of ancestral homes. The Carriage House sleeps 4 and has one full bath. Our fifth property is in Wilmington, the Amos Brown Farmstead. It sits on 30 acres, accommodates 6, has 2 full baths, attached barns, wonderful forest trails, and dogs are welcome.

LTUSA also owns the 571-acre Scott Farm, which abuts all 4 Dummerston properties. The Farm offers over 100 varieties of ecologically grown heirloom apples plus pears, plums, raspberries, gooseberries, grapes, and blueberries. There is a pick-your-own section for great family fun. The Farm offers a Harvest Dinner in October, a free Heirloom Apple Day when you can sample the wonderful flavors and learn about the history, and a Farm Market. The Farm has a beautiful orchard wedding venue and reception space for up to 120.  The Market, an easy walk from all 4 properties, offers fruit harvested from the Farm, and other delicious rural farm products.
