Ziemke Glassblowing Studio is located on scenic Route 100 between Stowe and Waterbury Vermont. It is the working glass studio of glass artist Glenn Ziemke. The Studio features a large gallery showcasing the complete line of Glenn’s colorful and classically inspired art glass. From the observation room, visitors can watch glassblowing in action as each unique piece is created one at a time.
Glenn Ziemke began blowing glass as a student at Penn State University in 1976. Upon graduating in 1978, Glenn served a one-year apprenticeship then built his first studio in Accord, New York in 1979. He began marketing his work through craft galleries and art fairs throughout the eastern US. Glenn worked out of his studio in Maine for 14 years, and was a member of the Praxis Craft Gallery Co-Operative in Freeport Maine.
In 1995 Glenn Designed and oversaw construction of the Ziemke Glassblowing Studio in Waterbury Center, Vermont. Glenn now sells his work exclusively through this gallery, which is open 362 days a year.
