I love this place so much!
When you walk in, you are greeted with an abundance of cheese. You can choose from any type you prefer. They even have flavors that you may not see when you live. For me, that was the Tuscan Herb flavor.
Then you move to the next section of the store which has more artisanal cheeses. They even had Jasper Hill Farm cheese which I have been searching for a long time. There was a guy making grilled cheeses samples with apple butter which was absolutely incredible. There were a great variety of crackers. They had free samples of cheeses, wine, and cheese and jam pairings. They had kitchen tools that you can buy for parties or just every day use.
One of the workers told me they designed this store to guide you through the steps of making a charcuterie board! Genius.
This place was incredible. I highly recommend this location if you are visiting Vermont.
Make sure to check the hours because they are not open on certain days.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

A must stop in the touristy things to do in Vermont! We made a quick trip while running some errands in the area before we headed home. They have an array of options we can't find in the stores by us which was a great treat! They also have everything from baking, condiments; and even pastas.
There is a ton of samples of different types of cheeses to try. We ended up buying almost the whole store because the prices and options were fantastic!
Staff are available to help should you need it. There is ample free parking in the paved lot outside. There are also a few other stores right next door that are local chains in the area to check out!Helpful 7Thanks 1Love this 7Oh no 0Business owner information

What a wonderful cheese shop - spacious and bright with plenty of samples, knowledgeable workers to help with pairings, and even a build your own charcuterie box with lots of artisanal cheese. There were also some unique cheeses from Cabot that were hard to find in the store like their excellent, curiously smooth and complex 10 year aged cheddar. Also look out for the Cabot/Guinness Mac and Cheese!

Cabot was not originally on our list for places to go while in Vermont, but on the way back from Stowe we decided to stop by. Not to be corny, but I'm so happy we popped in because I discovered my favorite snack. I'm a huge fan of Chicago blend popcorn - gotta love the mix of sweet and salty. So when I saw they had a maple and cheddar mix, I had to get it. It was poppin' to say the very least. The maple was soft, but had a nice crunch. Not sticky at all. And the cheddar had a nice sharpness. No judgement if you see me with a pantry full of this stuff...
Oh, and the cheeses were amazing. Loads of things to sample whilst in the store. Service was great, line was long but moved quick. Worth the visit if you're in the area.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

Ohhhhhhhh - I love cheese! This is such a cool place. Not only will you learn all about
Cabot cheese but you can sample many types of cheeses otherwise not heard of. At the local stores near me they sell
a handful of Cabot cheese varieties. They have demos going on to explain pairings and the samples are lovely. I love how knowledgeable the staff is about all things. They sell cheese of course but so much more. And they have many cute gadgets for sale as gifts or for self. I was able to purchase several cute Christmas gifts here.
The family story is warm and interesting and the staff feels like family running this place. It's easy to find, just check the hours
of when they open.
You literally could get all the fixings for a great picnic and sit outside and enjoy the beauty of Vermont.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

Cheese heaven! All things cheese. This place was excellent. They had different types of cheeses they produce along with a variety of spreads and jams paired with the cheeses. They also had different types of wines as well. The store had several tasting locations which helped make up your mind what type of cheese you wanted to purchase. We really enjoyed it.

I highly recommend this place! There are some other little stores in Waterbury Center. The Cabot Store is the main store here. The service is helpful. They have samples. There's a lot of parking. It just feels friendly and welcoming.

I told my nephew we weren't going here and he said, "they have cheese that you can dip in syrup, I know it sounds gross but it...is..delicious." He forgets I can't eat cheese, but we stopped by and the wife was delighted. Had some fresh sausage, bought some Mac and Chee.
Stop in, have some cheese. I regret not buying a hoodie tbh.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information
