Vermont Chamber of Commerce Announces Two New Hires

Montpelier, VT (May 08, 2019) – VERMONT CHAMBER OF COMMERCE APPOINTS NEW VICE PRESIDENT OF TOURISM, AMY (MORRISON) SPEAR AND NEW DIRECTOR OF MARKETING AND COMMUNICATIONS, SALLY COOPER
The Vermont Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce Amy (Morrison) Spear, a forward-thinking, leader who understands membership and mission, as the new Vice President of Tourism and Sally Cooper, an accomplished marketing professional in both B2B and B2C space as the new Director of Marketing and Communications. They both join Vermont Chamber of Commerce's leadership team and will work closely with President Betsy Bishop, who has been with the Chamber for 10 years.
"As the largest statewide business organization, connecting members for greater economic vitality is a top priority. That’s why the Vermont Chamber has hired these individuals to create several new ways to help members build positive brand recognition, gain greater exposure and connect to a wider network,” said Bishop. “They’ll be a vital part of bringing in new audiences and strengthening connections with our existing members and partners across the region."
Amy Spear has served as the Executive Director of the Stowe Area Association, Stowe's destination marketing organization, since 2016. During her tenure she led the re-imagination of the organization and enhanced partnerships which have yielded growth for the organization. Amy is a member of the State of Vermont’s Travel & Recreation Council, serves as the Vermont Association of Chamber of Commerce Executive’s President, and is a member of the Stowe Vibrancy Board of Directors. She is an avid mountain biker and volunteers with her local mountain bike chapter.
Sally Cooper is an accomplished marketing and communications professional who has a proven ability to deliver messaging in varying formats to reach the right audience. She is experienced in writing, content creation, and specializes in the visual experience. She has exceptional social media, event and networking skills. Sally also has a passion for photography and owns Sally Cooper Photography.
