Event Description:
A T.rex Named Sue exhibition May 17–September 7, 2014 Coming Summer 2014 - No dinosaur in the world compares to SUE—the largest, most complete, and best preserved Tyrannosaurus rex ever discovered. Explore how this remarkable creature interacted with its world and what we can learn from studying its fossil evidence. Revel in the sheer size of a fully articulated, life-sized skeleton cast, look a cast of Sue’s skull in the eye, and experience Sue’s movement, vision, and sense of smell for yourself. Touch casts of Sue’s bones and diagnose pathologies that left their mark in Sue’s leg, jaw, and tail. On view throughout the first-floor galleries May 17–September 7, 2014. This exhibition was created by The Field Museum, Chicago, and made possible through the generosity of McDonald’s Corporation.
